Scratch & Sniff Pictures
You can make easy scratch-and-sniff pictures by mixing Jell-O powder, white glue, and a little water.
Painting Rocks
These are fun to make for gifts, or to display at your house or in the garden!
Beautiful Coffee-filter Flowers
You can make easy, beautiful coffee filter flowers by coloring, shaping, and stacking basket-style paper filters around a stem.
What You’ll Need
white liquid glue
water
Jell-O powders (choose your favorite scents and colors)
Thick paper or cardstock
Paintbrush
Small bowls or containers
What You’ll Need
Smooth rocks: Flat River rocks or beach stones work best.
Cleaning items: Warm water, dish soap, and an old toothbrush.
Chalk pencils: Great for light, erasable sketching on dark or light surfaces.
Acrylic paint: Standard craft acrylics or fluid acrylics.
Paintbrushes: Flat brushes for backgrounds and fine detail brushes for line work.
Sealer: Clear acrylic spray or Mod Podge to protect your work.
What you’ll need:
White basket-style coffee filters (4 to 8 per flower)
Washable markers, food coloring, or diluted liquid watercolor paint
Spray bottle with water or a small bowl of dye
Scissors
Pipe cleaners, floral wire, or wooden skewers for stems
Florist tape
Stapler or hot glue gun
Wax paper or paper towels to protect your work surface
